Ways to Help

We Need Your Help!

Thank you for considering whether you might be able to help in any of these ways:

Tech Support/Zoom Hosting

Please complete this form  if you are interested in hosting Zoom sessions or doing other tech support for Annual Session. You will have a wide choice of when and how often to do this. If you sign up here it is assumed that you have a computer and a good internet connection. You will not need your own Pro Zoom account, as NPYM can provide Zoom access for most events. Some tech support people may also want to offer other forms of tech support such as helping presenters create digital presentations, possibly including videos.

Interest Group Proposals

If you wish to conduct an Interest Group, please complete this proposal form once for each group you propose. We encourage Interest Group leaders to create introductory electronic media which may be linked from the Annual Session website as early as June 1.   Please indicate in the form if you need technical support for any part of the presentation. Note that IG Proposals are due by June 15!

Worship Group Leaders

During main AS we will hold Worship Groups each day, some online and some in-person. When you register for AS you may sign up as a Worship Group leader. All online Worship Group leaders will be provided with Zoom hosting support as needed.

Racial Justice Responsibilities

Annual Session this year is emphasizing responding to harm with care. In particular, we are trying to pay attention to harms that uphold any form of systemic oppression, like racism or transphobia. More details about how to help coming soon.

COVID Support

We will need volunteers to help with optional rapid testing as people arrive at AS, so if you know that you can come early please let the volunteer coordinator know by making note on your Registration or emailing the Registrar at registrar@npym.org. Other ways to help include delivering tests to the door of people with symptoms, delivering meals to the doors of those who test positive and must isolate onsite; you can volunteer for these jobs on your Registration. We appreciate your willingness to help with these and other possible COVID-related needs.

Junior Friends Advisor Needed
Junior Friends (Friends of high school age) need one more enthusiastic adult advisor. This will be more important as Covid-19 restrictions are eased. Junior Friends advisors work with Junior Friends to plan for activities including three main annual events: Annual Session, summer Campout, and winter Ski Trip.
Read the detailed job description here. If you are interested, please contact Nominating Committee. Junior Friends will have the final choice of who will serve as their advisor.

Children's Program Support

If you have ideas for or want to help create activities for children, please contact Mim Lilly Coleman at as_child_prog_coord@npym.org.

Thank you for considering what you can do to support Annual Session this year.
