Choosing Work Assignments

Putting on a yearly Meeting requires a large amount of work. Our tradition is that as much as possible of this work is done by the attenders themselves, both to reduce the cost of AS and to strengthen the bonds among attenders. We ask all who are able to choose two jobs from the list below.

When choosing your TWO choices for volunteer positions at Annual Session, please give first consideration to helping with the Children's Program. In the next section you will find all the job tasks with their assigned job codes.

You will see these Job Codes and Job Time Codes, including descriptions, when you make your job and job time selections in the online registration form. If you want to add a note about your choice of jobs or time availability in the registration form, select CNote and a box will open where you can add this note. 

Some jobs require you to be on campus early or stay late. Please be sure you are going to be here to do the job. At the moment we have no virtual or telecommuting choices.

Job Codes:

Jobs Before Annual Session, Wednesday:

AA = Already assigned

AH = Access Help

AP = Airport Pickup Driver

DD = Driver Dispatcher

EB = Set up the Bookstore

EGC = Golf cart driver (2-3 hour shifts) 

EO = Set up the NPYM Office

EP = Carry Luggage

ER = At the registration table

U = Unable to contribute

Jobs at close of Annual Session, Sunday :

SB = Pack up Bookstore

SC = Clean up after YM

SO = Clean and Pack up NPYM Office

DC = Drive Jr or Central Friends to Camp

SGC = Golf cart driver (2-3 hour shifts)

Jobs During the Annual Session:

AP = Airport Pickup Driver

AW = Anywhere I am needed 

AWN = Anywhere, except with children

BH = Bookstore helper

CFA = Central Friends Afternoon Activities

CFE = Central Friends Evening Activities

CFM = Central Friends Morning Activities

CPA = Youth Program - Any age group

CPY = Youngest Friends (any activities)

CPYI = Youngest Friends Play Indoors

CPYM = Youngest Friends Morning Program

CPYO = Youngest Friends Play Outdoors

DBE = Daily Bulletin Editor

DD = Driver Dispatcher

FT = Friday Field Trip(counts as 2 jobs)

G = Greeter at Plenary Sessions

GC = Golf cart driver (2-3 hour shifts) 

HM = Hybrid Meeting Tech Assistance

JFAP = Junior Friends Responsible Adult Presence

MR = Mike runner during Plenary

MED = Doctor, nurse, paramedic, etc.

MTS = Media Tech Support

O = Staff NPYM Office

SP = Carry Luggage on Sunday

TH = Tray Helper

WK = Worship Keeper

ZH = Online Zoom Host

ZP = Online Zoom Provider

E = Early arrival on Wednesday

S = Sunday during / after lunch

T = Transport to camps after Annual Session

During Annual Session:

AT = Any time I’m needed

PS = During a Plenary session

NPS = Anytime Except during Plenary

WG = During a Worship Group

NWG = Anytime Except during Worship Group

IG = During an Interest Group

NIG = Anytime Except during Interest Group

F = During unscheduled time
