About Our Virtual Annual Session

Registration for Annual Session will open soon. Meanwhile please browse the website and get familiar with plans for this year’s Annual Session, Pre-Annual Session events, and sign up to help as you are led. For updates on Zoom features and general Zoom help, see the Using Zoom page. 

This year we are planning a hybrid/blended Annual Session. People will have the choice to  meet in person at Western Oregon University (WOU) in Monmouth, OR. To optimize the safety  of those meeting in person, we require those of us onsite to adhere to COVID safety guidelines  (link here). This may not be possible or desirable for all, and we have learned that we can also  offer a virtual Annual Session. WOU has the technical supplies and experience for online  sessions but the virtual sessions also require a lot of volunteer effort. For that reason, we will  not have all parts of Annual Session available online. We are planning that the plenaries will be  hybrid, worship groups will be either online or in-person, not blended. Interest Group leaders  will decide if their group will be in-person only, online only or blended. We don't know yet what  other portions we may be able to do in a hybrid/blended format. 

 
Pre-Annual Session Weekly Worship Groups

Because of the very positive feedback we’ve gotten, we will again organize similar groups.  They will meet weekly online for 4 weeks in June. They are separate from worship groups  meeting during Annual Session and are available to all whether you are planning to attend  Annual Session or not. Sign up for them by May 24th .

Annual Session Registration

Registration for Annual Session will be available at the Registration Page starting on May 16th.  The registration information notes that NPYM incurs different costs for those attending in  person (including cost of meals and lodging) than it does for those attending virtually (cost of  Zoom access and use of equipment). Those who register for in-person Annual Session will  receive the links to the virtual portions of Annual Session (except for virtual worship groups).  All are welcome to attend and pay according to each person or family’s ability to pay. 

Interest Groups will be available during Annual Session on July 14, 15, 16 and not before  Annual Session. Each Interest Group leader will decide if their group will be in-person only,  online only or blended.
