Independence Heritage Museum tells the story of the area’s diverse history, Oregon Trail roots, the Kalapuya Tribe, and hop farms. Just north up 99W is the
Polk County Museum.

If you wish to spend some time in nature, a number of scenic sites are within 15 miles of Monmouth, including the
